Our Sushi Story: Passion, Tradition, and Creativity
1
Our Story
We offer sushi classes at a variety of venues — both public and private — with the goal of creating fun, educational, and memorable experiences through the art of sushi making.
At the heart of what we do is a simple belief: anyone can make sushi.
While many people feel it’s something they can only buy, we love showing that it’s actually approachable, creative, and even a little bit magical to make at home. Yes, there is skill and craftsmanship behind sushi — but it’s also something that can bring people together in a fun, social, and meaningful way.
We are a small family of three, happily rooted in Smithville for the past five years. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a close-knit, welcoming community, and we love sharing what we do with the wonderful people around us.

Our Chef
Kyoko was born into a family that ran a sushi business in rural Japan.
Because of that, sushi was always a part of her everyday life — almost like air — something she didn’t think much about growing up. It wasn’t until she traveled outside of Japan that she truly discovered how versatile and visually beautiful sushi could be.
After more than 30 years, she finally fell in love with sushi in a whole new way.
Today, she enjoys this creative craft every day and loves sharing it with others.
